anecdote task year 2013
It was just the start of my vacations, and I was ready to roll. Started out going to arauco in the south of our country, I was staying on a friends cottage for a few weeks, it was right next to the sea and the drinking water was terrible, but it was well worth it, staying next to the sea with kayaks, surf boards, a tuned motor boat, fishing nets, poles and even harpoons.
My first day was just to recognize the territories around me, I walked on the beach for around 2 hours and found quite an amusing amount of sea shells all of which have nothing to do with my anecdote.
next we proceeded to make a barbecue, which surprisingly enough was our food for the whole time we spent there, Yes! we ate barbecue every single day!
anyways, that is enough for describing the place where the anecdote happens, on to the action. One day a friend of my fathers decided to bring this little thing that apparently Chilean people call the "sacachuchas" which is a doughnut-shaped floater attached to the motor boat with a string, in which you simply sit on and let the boat's driver take you around for a drive.
Bear in mind this is a tuned motor boat so it was running much faster than the regular ones, after a few minutes of riding around I was completely exhausted so I lifted my hand and made an "OK" sign meaning to say that I was okay to finish, yet they took it as me saying it was going too slow and I was still okay, so they decided to turn the motors up to full, and well, lets say that was not very pleasant.
